Selfridges Birmingham in Beijing

A newly-completed business building in the shape of an octopus near a crossroad in Wangjing region of Beijing has attracted much attention. It looks so cyber and bizarre as a piece of modern art. But wait, does this building resemble the famous Selfridges department store in Birmingham, UK? Anyway, both outstand from other buildings around them.

The Octopus Building, the Selfridges Birmingham in Beijing?

Kung Fu Super Baozi VS Sushi Men

Super Baozi ( a type of Chinese steamed bread ) is created by  SHP, an independent CG animation artist who currently lives in Shenzhen, China. I can foresee that Super Baozi is going to catch huge attention and win SHP his very first fame.

One of his works called “Super Baozi VS Sushi Man” parodying  Bruce Lee’s movies shows how Baozi defeats his enemies Sushi men in the incarnation of Bruce Lee. Certainly it would be the cup of tea for young nationalists in China who share unresolved love-hate mixed feeling towards Japanese culture.

Poor photoshop skill of People’s Daily

Look at the photo below carefully, is there anything obscure you see? If not, you have to check your eyes or please do click on the photo immediately.

People have discovered the People’s Daily, a biggest daily newspaper in China published a photoshopped image again on 26 June. Is this a no big deal?

Green Dam and You

On this familiar picture, it writes: "I did not stop you before, now you can never stop me too!" – "a little common sense will see that the cavalry, if we journey. The mantis mantis car criminals are able to block it?"

I am amazed and yet feeling sad. About the historical origin of the picture and also the degree of the freedom of speech. It seems that with the launch of the software, Green Dame, there will be a whole bunch of anti-activities, worsening the conflict between the Government and the people; letting the breakage of the confidence even greater.
